The 1973 - 1974 CB500 Four (K2 in Honda's coding) received mainly styling and colour updates. Road testers liked its balance and smooth, eager engine but criticised a notchy gearchange, a touchy rear drum and stands that touched down in left-handers. A CB500 won the 500 cc Production TT on the Isle of Man in 1973.
