Honda's 1990s CB500 was a liquid-cooled, eight-valve parallel twin naked bike aimed at new riders and commuters. Light, easy to ride and very durable, it used a Nissin front disc and a rear drum in its early years. Tests found it nimble and practical, with modest top-end power.
