A run-out year of the faired Hornet S, mechanically the same as the 2002 bike with its carburetted 599 cc four, backbone frame and 16-inch front wheel. When the naked Hornet got its sharper 2003 restyle and larger tank, Honda did not carry the fairing version forward, so this was effectively the end of the line for the S.
