The CB-F Concept was Honda's 2020 tribute to the CB900F (CB750F in Japan) of the late 1970s and early 1980s, a bike made famous partly through North American racing. It used the CB1000R engine in a steel backbone frame with an inverted fork and single-sided swingarm. Planned debuts at the Osaka and Tokyo motorcycle shows were cancelled because of COVID-19, so Honda presented it at its online Virtual Motorcycle Show instead.
