For 2007-2009 the CBF250 carried on with the same air-cooled 249 cc DOHC single, six-speed gearbox and chassis as the original version. It stayed a light, low-cost runabout aimed at novices and commuters, with cast aluminium wheels, tubeless tyres, a drilled front disc and a rear drum brake.
