In 2008 the CBF500 was in its last year, carried over unchanged and sold mainly as the ABS-equipped CBF500A. It kept the 56 hp parallel twin, six-speed gearbox and twin front discs, and was effectively replaced by the CBF600 and later CBF-series models.
