The 2008 CBF600S was the first year of the second-generation (PC43) half-faired CBF600, now using a fuel-injected four borrowed from the Hornet/CBR600RR family and a cast aluminium backbone frame in place of the old steel chassis. Honda kept the CBF's easy-going, adjustable ergonomics (three-position seat, adjustable screen) and offered Combined ABS, aiming it at commuters and light touring riders. The tank grew to 20 litres and the engine met Euro 3.
