The CD175 was Honda's budget 175 cc twin for commuters, sold for over a decade with a fully enclosed chain and simple drum brakes. By the late 1970s it had the upright-cylinder engine and tubular frame that replaced the original inclined engine and pressed-steel spine. It was a cheap, durable workhorse that was finally replaced by the CD185 in 1979.
