The CD185T replaced the long-running CD175 in 1979 as Honda's economical commuter twin. A slightly larger bore took it to about 180 cc, and it gained a vertically split crankcase, a relocated contact-breaker, a longer seat and better rear damping. It stayed true to the CD formula of low running costs and little maintenance.
