The CL450 Scrambler was the high-pipe, braced-bar version of Honda's 444 cc DOHC 'Black Bomber' twin, officially launched in 1968 with the new five-speed gearbox. Unlike the CB450 it kept drum brakes front and rear throughout, as discs were not yet trusted off-road. Built in smaller numbers than the 350 twins, it is now a favourite basis for flat-track and cafe-racer builds.
