The CM400T was the first year of Honda's 395 cc CM cruiser line, a softer, chrome-trimmed take on the CB400T Hawk twin with a stepped seat and steeper fork angle. The T (touring) version had Comstar alloy wheels, a front disc and a tachometer. Modest power but friendly handling made it a popular starter bike and a forerunner of the Rebel.
