The 2009 CRF230L was the final year of Honda's small air-cooled dual-sport and continued unchanged from the 2008 launch model. It offered road-legal lighting, signals and mirrors, electric start and a low seat on a light steel frame. Its soft suspension suited relaxed trail riding and commuting rather than hard off-road use, and it was replaced by the liquid-cooled CRF250L.
