The CRF250L replaced the air-cooled CRF230L in 2012 with a much more modern package: a liquid-cooled, fuel-injected 249 cc DOHC single derived from the CBR250R, built in Thailand. It added a 43 mm upside-down fork, Pro-Link rear suspension with an aluminium swingarm, wave-pattern discs and a digital dash. Reviewers praised its low price, frugal engine and easy manners on both tar and dirt.
