Shown at EICMA in Milan in late 2018, the CRF450L Rally Concept was a Honda R&D Japan study that turned the road-legal CRF450L into a Dakar-styled adventure machine to test public interest. It added a split 20-litre fuel tank, a Termignoni rally-style exhaust, a carbon-fibre skid plate, a clear screen, a navigation tower with a 5-inch TFT display and a rear toolbox, with suspension set up to be friendlier on the road. It was never put into production.
