The 2007 CRF450X carried on the original formula of an electric-start, wide-ratio enduro version of the CRF450R, with a smoother, torquier engine and plush long-travel Showa suspension. For 2008 Honda gave it a progressive steering damper, a smaller fuel tank and a revised carburettor accelerator pump, starting the long-running second version.
