By 2011-2012 the CRF450X was a mature, largely unchanged package whose reputation rested on a long run of Baja 500 and Baja 1000 victories. It kept the carburetted Unicam engine with electric start, the steering damper, Pro-Link rear end and fully adjustable Showa fork, and was sold as an off-road-only enduro in most markets.
