The March 1994 MKIII brought new bodywork and frame around the carried-over MKII engine, with the oil reservoir moved out of the frame into a plastic tank behind the cylinder and a one-piece rear shock. Revised suspension made it noticeably better over bumps and climbs, and first and second gears were raised. Its colour schemes were unpopular and held back sales.
