The 1982 model-year CX500 Turbo, the year it was sold in most markets, carried over the injected, turbocharged 500 cc V-twin with 82 hp, TRAC anti-dive forks and Pro-Link rear end. It was Honda's statement of turbo technology rather than an outright superbike, comfortable and stable at speed but hampered by lag and weight. It was replaced a year later by the stronger CX650 Turbo.
