The Tricolor was the FTR223 in Honda's red, white and blue racing-style paint, the top colour choice at launch and priced slightly above the solid-colour bikes. Underneath it was the same air-cooled 223 cc street tracker with its low seat and wide 18-inch tyres. From 2003 the Tricolor kept the larger number-plate side covers when other versions got smaller ones, and from 2006 it had a two-tone seat.
