For 1985 the GL1200 range carried on largely unchanged, but Honda shortened the overall gearing to give better roll-on response in top gear, a common complaint about the 1984 bikes. The Interstate and Aspencade remained the core models, and the year also saw the fuel-injected 10th-anniversary Limited Edition sold alongside them.
