The 2022 update gave the Monkey 125 the new long-stroke 50 x 63.1 mm engine shared with the Grom, with a five-speed gearbox in place of the four-speed and Euro 5 compliance. Rear shocks got two-stage springs, weight dropped to 104 kg, and the retro look, LED lights and IMU ABS carried over. The 2025 bikes were further revised for Euro 5+.
