Honda file

The MVX250F was Honda's first road-going two-stroke V3, launched in Japan in early 1983 as a spin-off of the NS500 Grand Prix racer that Freddie Spencer used to win the 500cc title. Its unusual layout put two cylinders lying forward and one standing upright, with a counter-balancing arrangement meant to calm two-stroke vibration. A light frame, Pro-Link rear end and inboard front discs made it one of the most advanced 250s of its day, but reliability problems with the centre cylinder gave it a short life before the NS250R took over.
