Honda file

The 1987 NR750 was a works endurance racer that took Honda's oval-piston V4 idea from the troubled NR500 Grand Prix bike into a 750 cc four-stroke. Each oval cylinder carried eight valves and two connecting rods, letting the engine rev past 15,000 rpm. It ran at the 1987 Le Mans 24 Hours with Malcolm Campbell, Gilbert Roy and Ken Nemoto, qualified well but retired with engine failure, and later raced in Australia's Swann Series. It paved the way for the 1992 NR road bike.
