For 1986 the NS 125F continued mechanically unchanged from the launch model, with its ATAC-equipped reed-valve two-stroke single and six-speed gearbox. The main update was a revision of the colour schemes, including a Rothmans-inspired racing livery echoing Honda's Grand Prix bikes. It remained one of the most sought-after sporting 125s in Italy.
