The 1990 NSR125R carried on largely unchanged from the 1989 launch bike: a faired, Italian-built 125 cc two-stroke single with a six-speed gearbox, Marzocchi suspension and a single front disc. It sat alongside the naked NSR125F in Honda's European line-up and was aimed at young riders wanting a race-replica look.
