The 1993-1994 NSR125R-R was the first faired version of the second-generation (JC22) NSR125, built in Atessa, Italy. It brought a new frame, Showa suspension and 17-inch wheels front and rear. In the UK it was sold restricted to about 12 bhp for learners, which blunted its performance until a dealer derestriction released around 28 bhp; the chassis drew strong praise.
