The 1994 NSR125SP was a sportier version of the new second-generation (JC22) NSR125R. Compared with the standard bike it had a higher compression ratio, a wider 140-section rear tyre and a lower dry weight, and it was aimed at young riders and Sport Production racing rather than learner use.
