The 2002 update gave the Deauville new bodywork and bigger panniers (left 24 L, right 19.5 L). Lighter pistons and engine changes cut vibration, and a catalytic converter met tighter EU emissions rules. Honda also added linked combined braking with three-piston front calipers. It stayed a relaxed, shaft-driven middleweight tourer.
