Honda's first liquid-cooled V-twin cruiser, launched in Japan at the end of 1982 and the direct forerunner of the VT750C Shadow. The narrow 45-degree twin with three valves and two plugs per cylinder ran without balancers, and drove through a six-speed box and shaft. A teardrop tank, stepped seat, slim radiator and wide 15-inch rear tyre set the American-custom look that later Shadows kept.
