A compact dual-sport sold in the US from 1988 to 1990, unusual for its class in using a liquid-cooled, DOHC four-valve 250 single with electric start and six speeds. Light weight, a modest seat height and a 19/16-inch wheel combination made it nimble in town and on trails. Japan got a dressed-up version called the AX-1 with alloy rims and a rear disc.
