Honda file

The NX 500 Dominator was the smaller-engined sister of the NX 650, sharing its frame, bodywork, brakes and wheels but using a 498 cc air-cooled single with a shorter stroke and smaller bore. It was aimed mainly at European markets where licence or insurance classes favoured a sub-500 cc machine. By this period both Dominators were assembled at Honda's Atessa plant in Italy, and the bike remained a road-biased trail machine rather than a true enduro.
