The SL100 replaced the SL90 in 1970 as Honda's 100 cc Motosport trail bike, gaining a fifth gear and a square 99 cc overhead-cam single. It ran through four versions (K0 to K3) to 1973, changing mainly in colours, decals, seat and handlebar details; from 1972 it was badged Motosport 100 and the 1973 bike got a black frame. It was a light, simple dual-purpose machine for trail riding and short road hops.
