The third-generation Magna arrived in 1993 as an early 1994 model, with a completely new low steel cradle frame and a detuned version of the gear-driven-cam V-four from the VFR750F sportbike. Unlike earlier Magnas it used a five-speed gearbox and O-ring chain drive, with a single front disc and rear drum. Its signature styling was the four upswept chrome megaphone exhausts stacked beside the rear wheel, and it remained one of the fastest middleweight cruisers of the 1990s.
