The 1987 H-model carried on the original RC24 package with the same engine, frame and running gear as the 1986 bike. Changes were mainly cosmetic and detail ones, with square-style gauges, a black-finished engine, quieter graphics and revised suspension internals, offered in two colour schemes. It remained the 16/18-inch-wheeled, two-piece-fairing version before the 1988 facelift.
