For 1988 the RC24 received its main facelift for Europe: a new three-piece fairing, adjustable screen, revised instruments and switchgear, polished silencers and 17-inch wheels front and rear. The fork grew to 41 mm and the front discs to 296 mm, while the engine and frame were essentially carried over. This version was not sold in the USA.
