The Crossrunner was shown at EICMA in Milan in late 2010 as one of Honda's new crossover machines, mixing naked-bike handling with an upright, adventure-style riding position. It used the VTEC V4 from the previous VFR800 in a twin-spar aluminium frame with a single-sided swingarm, and went into production almost unchanged for 2011.
