The VRX400 Roadster was a Japan-market retro roadster that mixed a traditional Japanese roadster with Sportster-style looks. It used the 398 cc V-twin from the Steed 400, retuned for more character: lumpy at low revs, then smooth through the midrange. Reviewers found it easy to filter in traffic and sharper-handling than a typical semi-custom, with soft suspension and an exhaust that ran hot at a standstill.
