The last run of Honda's long-lived 1100 cc Shadow Spirit kept the carburetted, liquid-cooled 45-degree V-twin with offset crankpins, tuned for low-down pull rather than revs. Chopper-flavoured touches such as the pulled-back bars, bobbed rear fender and skinny 19-inch front wheel set it apart from the more touring-oriented Shadow 1100s. Shaft drive and a low seat made it an easy, low-maintenance cruiser before the 1300 cc VT range took over.
