The VT250 Spada replaced the VT250F at the end of 1988 as a sharper, naked-style sports 250. Its headline feature was Honda's CASTEC die-cast aluminium frame with hollow box-section members, lighter and stiffer than the old steel frame, and it also gained 17-inch wheels front and rear, a wider 140-section rear tyre and a rear disc brake. The DOHC V-twin was retuned to 40 PS.
