From 2006 to 2007 Honda changed only the colours of the VTX1300C, and for 2008 it fitted a redesigned, more compact two-into-two exhaust. The rest stayed as before: the torquey carburetted 1312 cc twin, five-speed gearbox, maintenance-free shaft drive and cast wheels. Testers liked the smooth power and brakes but found the feet-forward riding position tiring on long highway stints.
