2009 was the final year of the VTX1300C, offered in new colours alongside the R and T. Mechanically it was the same shaft-drive, 1312 cc carburetted V-twin cruiser with the compact 2008 exhaust. For 2010 Honda replaced it with the fuel-injected VT1300C family.
