Added for 2005, the VTX1800F was the performance-styled VTX, with 18-inch cast wheels on low-profile radial tyres, a longer custom-look tank and an LCD tachometer and clock. Suspension was firmed up for a sportier feel, but the bike stayed a heavy, straight-line muscle cruiser built around the same 1795 cc fuel-injected V-twin and linked brakes.
