The VTX1800S was the spoke-wheel version of the Retro VTX, launched with the first range for 2002. It shared the R's valanced fenders, chrome-hooded headlight and 20-litre tank but rolled on laced wheels with tube-type tyres for a more traditional look, powered by the same 1795 cc fuel-injected V-twin with shaft drive.
