The Xaxis was a super-sport design study that Honda showed at the 35th Tokyo Motor Show in 2001. It put the mechanical hardware on display around a DOHC V-twin, a lightweight pivotless twin-spar frame, a single-sided swingarm and an unconventional front end with a large rim-mounted brake rotor. The radiator was packaged into the tail and the muffler into the belly pan, as part of Honda's idea of 'functional beauty' for future sports bikes. It never reached production.
