This was a 1983 limited edition of the XL125R named after the Paris-Dakar rally, which Honda was contesting at the time. The spec sheet shows it was mechanically the same as the standard XL125R, with the same 124 cc six-speed single, drum brakes and chassis. The appeal was the rally branding on a small, beginner-friendly trail bike. The exact cosmetic changes are not recorded in the sources consulted.
