Launched in 2001, the XL125V Varadero gave learner riders the look of a big adventure tourer in a 125 cc package. It used a small liquid-cooled 90-degree V-twin fed by twin carburettors, a five-speed gearbox, disc brakes at both ends and a large 17.5-litre tank. It was heavy for its class but comfortable and roomy enough for two.
