The 1981-1983 XL185S carried on with the same 180 cc air-cooled single, five-speed gearbox and twin-shock chassis as the first bikes. It was a basic, easy dual-purpose machine for commuting and light trail use. Wikipedia describes the much later CRF230L as its successor.
