Honda file

For 1985 Honda's export XL250R dual-sport moved to the RFVC radial four-valve head with a pair of progressively opening carburettors, building on the 1982 update that had brought Pro-Link single-shock rear suspension, a 21-inch front wheel and a six-speed gearbox. It stayed a light, kick-started trail-and-road machine with drum brakes at both ends, aimed at riders who wanted easy low-down pull rather than race performance.
