This Paris Dakar Limited Edition was a rally-themed version of the 1982 XL250R, named after the desert race in which Honda was then competing. The spec sheet shows it mechanically the same as the standard Pro-Link XL250R, so the edition was a matter of Dakar-inspired styling and graphics rather than engineering changes.
