The XL350 scaled up the XL250 recipe into a 348 cc two-valve single, tuned for low-down pulling rather than top-end power. It was Honda's four-stroke answer to the two-stroke enduros of the day and suited relaxed trail riding. It came road-legal with lights and indicators that could be removed for off-road use, and it ran on 21/18-inch wheels with drum brakes.
